Stuck for Feb half-term ideas? Visit the animals at Britton’s Farm

The February half-term can be a nightmare for parents, as the weather can make it difficult to keep restless children entertained. However, with a bit of planning and a few clever ideas, both you and the kids can have a great time this Feb half-term.

Something for you, something for the kids

If you don’t fancy sitting through yet another children’s film at the cinema, why not try something a little different this half term? You can entertain the kids and enjoy some quality time as a family by visiting Britton’s Farm Estate in Bath, where there are a range of activities on offer for all ages.

Meet the animals!

The main attraction at Britton’s Farm is, of course, the animals. Kids will love the chance to say hello to the horses and ponies, as well as the adorable micro pigs, sheep and other farm animals. The animals at the farm are fed most mornings, so make sure you get here early (if you aren’t staying overnight) to avoid missing out. However, the animals are very friendly and will always appreciate another treat later in the day!

Cycling and walking

Set in stunning countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with fantastic links to nearby Bath, Britton’s Farm provides plenty of opportunities to get some fresh air and drink in the beautiful scenery. There are cycle paths that go straight into Bath and Bristol, with plenty of pubs along the way (as an incentive for the grown-ups). You can also get to Victoria Park in Bath very easily, where there are play areas and zip wires to keep kids entertained for hours at a time.

Shopping, eating and drinking

The delicious breakfast at our luxury Bath B&B, made using only the best quality local ingredients, is a must if you’re visiting Britton’s Farm Estate. If you want to venture further afield, there are plenty of places to eat, drink and shop nearby, including The Shed, a great place to visit especially if the weather isn’t on your side.

So, whether you visit for the day or you decide to stay for the week in our boutique B&B accommodation, a trip to Britton’s Farm this Feb half-term really does have something for everyone.
